Thing #21 - Podcasts and Audio Books

Whew! This one took a while! I could see it being a valuable tool for a class collaboration tool (i.e. an ongoing newsletter to keep parents informed?), but I'd have to get much more efficient with it! But like everything else, the potential is there ... it's the time that's not always available!

Here's my first effort at Photostory ....

edit: I can't get my video to upload. I've tried and tried and am about to lose it, so I'm going to return to it and try again. :)

vwb ... thanks for the helpful link! Right off the bat I discovered that my file wasn't saved as a .wmv, so I changed that.

I made the necessary changes and tried again ... here's the message I received:

Sorry, there was an error uploading your video. Please contact support and include the following information:
Blog Id:4769850248278986078
Video Id:96c92dd728d26566

Argh! I'll keep at it! :)

the only other thing I can think of at this point is the file is too large...is it a really involved photostory with lots of pictures?

I got that same messagy "Sorry,....then a request for the blog ID etc. But I, like you, had not kept hitting the "next" button in the photo story until it went to wmv. Once it did, then it uploaded. Here is another suggestion:
Use windows explorer and locate
the My Videos folder (should be on left side). Open it up. You should have a filmstrip looking icon in front of your saved wmv file that you want to upload. If you don't have this icon, then you did not complete the project. You don't even want to know how I know this (read my blog for Thing 21. Believe me, you'll feel like a tech genious when you see what I went through. If your saved work is not in the video folder with a film icon, then you need to go back to your photo story, find your video, put the music in again and keep clicking next, then save it. The default storage for your completed work is in the My Video folder. You should upload from this folder, not from photo story.
